Jessica Merkel

Firm:  Bunger & Robertson

Phone:  (812) 332-9295

Jessica has a heart for helping people of all ages with their family law and estate planning needs. Every family, no matter its size and makeup, goes through periods of change. Some changes are exciting and long-awaited, like welcoming a new member, while other changes are difficult and painful. However, Jessica believes that all of these changes are opportunities for growth and fresh starts, and it is her mission to make these periods of uncertainty and upheaval as easy as possible, for every member of the family. Whether individuals are just beginning a relationship with a new family member, or bringing one to a close, she’s there with compassion, warmth and dignity to get you through it.

Jessica earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and went on to pursue her J.D. at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Jessica served on the Sherman Minton Moot Court Board. Jessica received her degree in 2006 and went on to practice at another Bloomington law firm before joining B&R.

Jessica, a Bloomington native, stays involved in her community by supporting a number of nonprofit organizations and committees via the First United Methodist Church. And just as Jessica helps her clients in planning for and supporting their families, she has grown and nurtured her own. She and her husband, Clint, are busy and proud parents of three young children.
